Yesterday, I did my first craft show in Ottawa. The weather was not on our side. It was chilly and rainy, although we were lucky when we unloaded the car the rain had momentarily stopped. All in all, I had a good time at the show. I saw lots of friends, met some new sellers and ate some fabulous cupcakes. I had about 11 sales ( 5 tops, 2 dresses , 1 necklace & 3 catnip toys). Many seasoned sellers mentioned the crowd was much smaller than last year, most likely because of the crappy weather.
A few things I learned from this show:
- bring more styles in the darker colours
- bring more signs/displays to describe product
Oh man, we were in the same room... I can't believe we didn't meet. See the guy in your photo with the bright blue shirt? He was right beside me (we were in the back left corner).
ReplyDeleteI can vouch for the fact that this was the smallest crowd that Ladyfest has had in a LONG time (maybe ever), so I hope the next one is busier. From the photos, your booth looks great though :) I hope it was still a fun experience for you. We'll definitely have to meet the next time!
p.s. can't wait to see the finished denim/ramie dress!
OMG we were so close! I went around a few times but didn't see you at all. Hopefully I'll be at the xmas show
ReplyDeleteI had fun even if it wasn't busy. I ate 2 cupcakes. Cupcakes always equal fun :p
