Slug death trap

This spring my poor basil was victimized by slugs. It was looking limp and the leaves had numerous holes in them. There was barely a leaf decent enough for me to eat. So here was my solution:

1 small container + a little left over beer = 1 eco friendly slug trap.





After one week of "refills", my basil is already looking healthier. (Sorry it rained all weekend, so I'll get a post "slug" photo next week.)

    Slugs are so horrible! Luckily I don't have to battle them as much since I use containers. But I have been fighting the most horrible aphid problem this year! Awful awful bad, noooo good. I think they may be under control now though.

    Oh the perils of growing! haha
